Visit & Museum

Welcome to the heart of a heritage steeped in history!
Once a place of distillation, production and assembly of all our perfumes, the Bastide Molinard has now become a museum and bears witness to the industrial heritage and know-how of the House by welcoming tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world every year.

In the heart of the Bastide, the visit is punctuated by the different stages of perfume creation, where each room is filled with collectors' items, old machines and surprising infrastructures that constitute the history and heritage of the House.
Journey to the heart of raw materials
Molinard makes it a point of honor to select its raw materials, with particular emphasis on rare, noble and natural ingredients from Grasse and around the world.

Manufacturing secret at the Distillery

You will enter the majestic Molinard distillery, a unique room with a metallic structure designed by the famous Gustave Eiffel. In the middle of the copper stills, you will learn the different techniques of extraction of natural materials, useful for the composition of Molinard perfumes!
The Artisanal Soap Factory
Manufacture under the eyes of the visitors!

Since the 1920s, La Maison Molinard has been making its vegetable oil-based soaps, available in a wide range of fragrances and colors. The Soap Factory receives an astonished and delighted public to attend this authentic manufacture within the Bastide!

The perfumer's laboratory

In this high place of know-how and expertise, ingredients of exceptional quality compose the most beautiful olfactory scores. Discover the backstage of the Perfumer's job in the heart of the laboratory of the 30's where everything is designed, created, composed...
The maceration tanks
Once the composition of a perfume is finished, the time of maceration has come!
The perfume concentrate must rest in specific vats, for a variable length of time depending on the fragrance, before bottling.
The company's primary objective is to maintain this proximity to the general public. By developing these workshops, Molinard wishes to provide a professional insight that is accessible to all!
The perfume creation workshops
Jean-Pierre Lerouge-Bénard wanted to introduce the public to the profession of perfumer, to understand the architecture of a perfume and to tame the essences that make it up, when he created the Atelier des Parfums in 1994.
